London, Day 1

Day one's main job was staying awake until some semblance of a normal bed time. Got to London Heathrow about 40 minutes early. Got through customs. Rode train to Paddington Station. Took taxi to hotel. Checked bags (room not ready). Walked around a bit. Joel climbed onto lion statue in Trafalgar Square. Ate some food. Walked around some more. Listened to a brass band play in St. James' Park (John Williams selections, Beatles selections, James Bond themes, ...). Finally checked into the hotel. Went swimming w/ Joel at hotel pool. Went and ate a quick dinner. Got back to room. Did some iChat with Rebecca and the girls (joined by Nattie after he woke up from his nap). Got Joel into bed. Updated photos on Facebook. Posted this blog. And headed to bed. Busy day. More fun tomorrow!
